Credit card debt is taking over the country, and most people are charging more due to the recession. This is not uncommon, however, the time is going to come when it is time to repay all of those debts and when that happens, hopefully those of you who have charged more because of lack of money will have what you need to pay off the debt. However, if you are one of the millions of Americans who find yourself in a difficult situation when it comes time for payback, then it is time to collect debt consolidation information from whatever sources that you can find.

When considering what debt consolidation information to use, the first thing that you should do is consider the source. Where did you get the information that you are using, is it an official source? You can get a lot of information about debt consolidation on government websites, which are very reliable sources in the respect that their information will be unbiased and will not direct you to a specific company to use for your debt consolidation.

You will learn in detail from your debt consolidation information about the two different kinds of debt consolidation, credit card consolidation loans and credit counseling services. These are two very different programs, where taking a loan means just that, however, if you have a lot of debt or bad credit you may have to use your home as collateral or get a co-signer to get the loan, which may not be idea. Credit counseling services mean that you allow a company to negotiate with your creditors for lower payments and to eliminate your interest. The downside here is that you have to close all credit accounts or the credit counseling service will not work with you, also, this does show up as a negative on your credit report, although not as negative as not paying your debts.

There are a couple of other options that may not show up in your debt consolidation information like credit card debt settlement, which is paying a company to negotiate lump sum payments with your creditors at a value less than what you owe. Another is to just do it yourself, without the help of any companies. The upside here is that your credit is not affected if you continue to make payments on your accounts. The ultimate goal for any of these plans is to pay off your debt as quickly as possible.

Yes I have, It Always Says to Call For Your Free Tape . . . and I did.

Their Pitch is really unique (i know this cause i had a chance to work with some well known guys like john)

Essentialy by the end of the call, you end up purchasing his course for $175 because the flow and the pitch is so good. . . essentialy he teaches great wealth balance systems and banking products most people to know are available. And yes you can pay off a brand new 30 year mortgage in as little as 4-15 years, I know, we have a 4 year old 30 year interest only mortgage and we will be paid off in about 2.2 years, we already have SOOO much more equity now, these systems work, but software helps :)

Let me guess, he tells you to create a financial system that sells for $349 and do radio ads for them.

I just went to the website affiliated with this number. It is JohnCommuta.com and of course there’s nothing free about it. There’s a bunch of nonsense on there and then at the end it tell you it’s only $340.00 plus shipping and handling. I figured there was something up with it when I kept hearing his message. That website will take you to it though and you can read all about it if you want, but for anything to actually be sent to you that’s the amount it said it was. Not that it surprises me all to much, lol.

This guy John Commuta is running his radio ads again but with a different phone #… 1-800-600-9841, probably to stay one step ahead of blogs like this that want to know what are they really selling.

No company name, no website, just their 1-800 number to call for your “free tape”. Can someone enlighten me?

I don’t know this specific program, but most advertisements like this are for a service that basically takes control of your finances “for” you….for a fee, of course. THEY send you your paycheck–or what’s left of it–which has already been deposited directly into THEIR bank account. They allocate a portion of it to paying down your mortgage; the rest goes to you.

They “help” you by spending your money on your mortgage principle…so you can’t spend it on vacations to Aruba, new cars, or cough syrup for your kids.

I hear this ad on a Baltimore radio station all the time. I’d love to know how this “magical” debt elimination works.. I’m sure it’s just another scam. They don’t have a website… and they don’t give you a company name.. the red flags are up for sure! If I call, i’ll let you know the quality of their snake oil.
