Bob you need to work on originating loans instead of worrying about what other people do. Maybe that's why a recruiter has never contacted him..he doesn't close to much.

Your argument for bugging people at their place of employment does not hold. If someone wants to leave their employer they will look for you. Go place your ads so they can find you when they look. Go place your ad on TV like Monster does... or craigslist, or a thousand other places, or try networking.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. If you're going to use aggressive tactics, expect aggressive reactions. No one is obligated to "politely decline".

I must tell you I find this EXTREMELY offensive as a Professional Recruiter. My father is in this business as is my uncle and we are all very ethical people. As with all businesses you have good and bad but the scenario you described is simply the nature of the business and there is NOTHING wrong with it. As with any sort of sales, the recipient of the sales pitch has the right to listen or not, agree or not, etc. Are you telling me that ads on TV for Monster.com should be banned as they encourage employees to consider leaving their employer. Did we suddenly find ourselves in a world where companies are so loyal to their employees that they should never consider alternatives? I'm so baffled as to why you were so offended and why you would call out a recruiting firm simply for doing their job! If you're not interested in an opportunity than politely decline. Your vantage point from atop your majestic high horse is entirely misguided, unfair and absurd. Lighten up!
